Are you an entrepreneur who lives and works in the city of Detroit? You may be eligible for a microloan from LaunchDETROIT. The nonprofit program, founded by Rotary District 6400, offers qualified entrepreneurs free business training and consulting, assigned business mentors, networking opportunities and microloans of $1,000 to $2,500. The program’s mission is to support and develop entrepreneurs and small businesses in under-resourced communities in the Detroit region.

To qualify, applicants must live and work in the city of Detroit, demonstrate need for financial and business resources, have the ability to complete the business training offered during the eight-week program, and the ability to repay the microloan within 12 months. Those who qualify will be interviewed for the program in September before the program begins in October. For more information and to apply online by August 22 visit www.LaunchDetroit.org.
